Inputs explained

• Enter Names: Type one name per line. For balanced teams, add a rating from 1 to 10 after a comma.
• Number of Teams: Choose how many teams you want. Use any number from 2 to 20.
• Team Generation Method: Pick Completely Random for quick splits. Pick Balanced by Skill to spread strong players.
• Generate Teams: Builds teams using your choices.

Output and how to read it

You will see each team in a separate panel with a title. Every name appears on its own line. Ratings appear next to names when provided. In balanced mode, each team shows an Avg Skill line. The page also shows the Overall Average Skill for all players with ratings.

Random teams

The tool shuffles the list and deals names into teams in turn. Team sizes may differ by one player when numbers do not split evenly.

Balanced by skill

Use ratings to balance teams. The tool sorts rated players by score, then deals them with a snake draft. It goes left to right, then right to left, and repeats. Players without ratings get spread after that step.

Formatting tips and input rules

• Use one name per line for clean results.
• Add a rating with a comma, like John Smith, 8.
• Use whole numbers only from 1 to 10 for ratings.
• A rating outside that range gets dropped for balance.
• Avoid commas inside names to keep names intact.
• Enter at least as many names as the team count.
• Pick a team count from 2 to 20 to proceed.
• The Copy button appears after you create teams.
• If copy fails, select the text and copy by hand.

How balanced mode works

• The tool sorts rated players from high to low.
